The ever-expanding gastronomic scene in The Hague is based around the city centre and comprises many quality restaurants and similar dining venues. The cobblestone streets stretching outwards from the Denneweg provide a good choice of restaurants, although do bear in mind that many dining venues begin to slow down at 21:00 and often close soon after.

Night life is very much based around Den Haag's three main public squares, the Buitenhof, the Het Plein and the Grote Markt, and you can be guaranteed that restaurants, cafes and bars are never far from hand in this part of The Hague.

The modern and vibrant beachfront resort of Scheveningen, on the western side of The Hague, contains a wealth of cheap eats and fast-food restaurants, with very little to choose between them, except for the views across the seafront promenade. And after dining out in Den Haag's Scheveningen, a good cinema is close by and always busy.

Also don't miss out of the oriental dining experience offered within the Chinatown area of The Hague, where many highly affordable Chinese-style restaurants are clustered, particularly around the Wagenstraat and also the Gedempte Gracht.
